I looked at the world today through your eyes What I saw, was that you are not wise You are afraid of love, you choose to run and hide There is no one in whom you can truly confide You shut down when things get deep You run on automatic until at night, when you fall to sleep Then the dreams in your head, cause you to awaken to weep And you wonder what in the end will you reap In the break of the morning, on goes your disguise To cover up the hurt that you hide deep inside "This is all there can be to life",you have surmised This is why I say that you are not wise. I wish you could see that real love does exist But you choose to believe that it is just a myth And so you continue to resist Even when you are in love's midst
