Eyes Wide Shut Up

i must
apologize
for firstly my

eyes grew
older then
my body

i've seen
them go
from dark

military
rims all
during

the nineteen
sixties until
late seventies

when allowed
to pick out a
wire frame

then a two
year attempt
to wear or

i should write
put in contacts
but i lost contact

with the fact
that they
weren't

glasses
but back
to now i'm

wearing
glasses
though

supposedly
fashionable
they with age

are
now
bifoc

als
