Eyes Front

One day I had the misfortune to greet
A pissed off dog I happened to meet
I could tell he was looking for a fight
His tail was wagging but he wanted a bite

I said, "Good doggy, what's going on"?
That low growl said that was wrong
I knew at once I couldn't run
Without getting a chomp on my bum

"Why me"? I must confess
How did I ever get in this mess?
You must be wondering if he bit my britches
I can't sit down because of the stitches

Next time I'll look up from my phone
When I am walking home
This makes much more sense
Than wandering into that dogs fence
