Eyes Close, Lights On

Sleeping is the time of peace

But my dreams make this cease

I scream through the dream

Or ream from the blows to my psyche

I don’t remember or care

Whats real or not there.

My head lays down

I found my ground

I stand up and walk around

But in my head

I see the dead

He showers me

With what I need to feel

She stares at me

With those eyes

I don’t care to hate to see

I just can’t stand sympathy

My own mind hates me

It gives and takes

As it shatters and breaks

My sanity

And as my eyes flutter on

I stutter at the thought their gone
