Exposed

I stop and take a moment
A deep breath and ask why
I see insecurity
Filling up the sky.

A limitation that I find
So damaging and mean
A unsafe trait
I see you turning green.

Ill-protected as you stroll
Through this land you live
Feeling so small
Nothing you can give.

Lashing out when you feel fit
Take it out on me
Callous conversations
Like being lost at sea.

Insecurity makes you feel small
But actions speak so loud
Walking around so macho
With your head in the clouds.

If it didn't affect others
As you make your way
Then maybe you could cover
All the foolish things you say.
