Exploring the Quite Woods
Nobody can discover anything
that's hidden in the quite woods
of the bewildering wilderness...
if adventure and curiosity limit
our perception to fully explore it;
and it can't make us marvel at its loveliness,
if delicate butterflies or at the swiftness of falcons
that chase after colorful starlings, not vicious eagles;
If we had wings, we could see everything,
but without insight or imagination nothing amazes!
Admire the yellow dandelions that lovers blow
to make realistic wishes in that moment so mellow;
pick one, scatter its seeds and make more grow:
youngsters love them, so does a House Sparrow!
Exploring the quite woods of the breath-taking wilderness
opens up dusty and winding trails so often traveled alone;
do the indigo lilacs match the cerulean skies above?
Do the golden orioles match the amber sunflowers
that are bent on their tall stalks by the fierce gales
when sunset stuns everybody with its purple shades?
Follow the footsteps of this rambler to cherry blossoming hills
and to steep mountains greener than the thick and wild grass;
it's a unique adventure away from the bustling and noisy cities
with impressive skyscrapers and wide streets without any trees!
