Expiration Date

Do we all feel the same,
Is life just a waiting game
Why? do some, live so long,
Is it because they are strong,
Or have they more to learn,
And have not yet earned,
The peace that we all desire,
When we expire.

Great question, Shirley. Perhaps people are only kept alive until their mission is complete... No, that's true of angels... Who can plumb the depths of The Master Plan?! -- Certainly not me. ~ Gershon

When I joined the Air Force, I was told it was not fair for me to apply for life assurance because my life expectancy was only 34-years. Now all those people are dead and I am well passed twice as old as anyone ever expected me to be. Even my wife is deceased, although she was much younger, so one can only suppose I have more to learn than everyone else? Aloha!

This is an incredible fine small verse, Shirley, large in its impact and message. Thank you for writing and sharing it.
