Expediency

Elaborate the plan
Enticing by pretence
Exclusive in deceit
Extols hypocrisy.
Each step has been rehearsed
Except for masquerade
Excessively disguised.

Dear Paul, Although this is a new form for me, I love the way you used it to describe deception. Congrats on your win! Love, Carolyn

Hi Carolyn! This is the first time that I used this form; I used it again yesterday in my latest poem FGM. I find that it can be quite effective. (This contest still has to be judged.) txs for another welcome visit :) // paul

Paul, you are so lucky if all your cats have been lovely and cuddly. I think out of about twelve cats we have had in 40 years, only three or four have been truly cuddly to the point that you could pet them a long time and they would just sit there loving it. Callie lived the longest and was the only one to die with us. A few others had really bad potty habits and we got rid of them before they could do more harm to our carpets!!! I think you have had better luck with cats than we ever did!

Hi Andrea! We never keep our cats inside (except at night); luckily we have a big field and garden where they live in 'liberty', but they do not wander off. I say they are cuddly...although some of them act that way under their own conditions! No potty problems, but that's understandable in our case!

I see, Paul, that you have experience with the world of business. Is not everything (including Truth) a slave to closing-the-deal? A succinct, well written exposition. Peace...Sam

Hi Sam, unfortunately in this world nothing is plain-sailing, straight forward; wheeling and dealing, back-stabbing, etc take place all the time. // txs for stopping by. // paul

Thank you Andrea; it did need some thinking....there were a few angles from which to tackle it; in the end I opted for this one. Have a nice week:) // paul
