Exotic Bed

I slept on a balloon tonight One bed too few, a novel sight Company’s come to my delight So I slept on a balloon tonight I was the host in years gone past Now my children prepare repast They welcome me as their guest My retirement years now my quest Grandchildren live all over the nation Knitting family’s firm foundation Unaware that their recreation Increases elders’ anticipation So I slept on a balloon tonight Call it air mattress to lessen strife Little feet came without invite To share my balloon tonight

Loved reading your poem and especially liked the idea of sleeping on a balloon!! Very creative. I'm a grandma, too, so I can relate to this poem.
