Excuse Me While I Weep

Excuse me while I weep
The memories I will keep
The excuses I had made
The price that I paid

The brother I have lost
It came with a cost
My heart has another hole
The cancer took its toll

My favorite till the end
My best friend
No matter the distance
No matter the instance

So, please, excuse me while I weep
My best friend, I couldn't keep
Calmness, I'll try to remain
But weeping, I cannot refrain

Weeping is good. We never forget, but hopefully we thoroughly mourn so we can be at peace. It comes in waves. Sorry for your great loss.
