Excite My Soul

I scour the sky's for signs
Talking to the constellations.
Walking home alone
With an array of destinations.

I need "titillation"
An excitement to take over.
Do I overlook the smallest things.
Or rather see a four leaf clover?

Devour life like a succulent peach
Don't dilly dally on the bad
Take time to inhale the
sun as well as rain.

Like that bloke I met I last week
Hours I didn't even notice
Next morning I passed him trotting down the street
Recalling memories of my lost dog Otis.

Live in the present, not past or tomorrow.
Breathe in the hindsight that you missed.
As far as I am concerned
We should have immediately got hitched
