Evolution of a Serious Poet

Life’s twists and turns
  he took in stride
Preferred to see their brighter side

Until one somber day
  fate took his love away
No longer could he laugh or play

Just sat and penned her poignant verse
his cries did rise to Heaven ~
'Board winged teardrops without leaven

Well, I hope that I've put the lie to those who consider me a 'Creationist.' (I never created anything! lol). :)

Despair, and heartbreak, forging words of gold, take flight. A wordsmith par excellent, keep it up.
