Evolution Explosion
Revolving around the star (our Sun)
Hidden from earth’s line of sight
Is orbiting something else from elsewhere
Monitoring the progress of the DNA program.
Assigned promising this time by the scientific academy
Ordained by the Galactic Order of Divinity...
A sentient species is exhibiting the signs
Worthy of closer observation.
All transmissions are being relayed by the Mothership
To all the home worlds of previously successful experiments.
I’ve been eavesdropping on them through my dreams
Makes my head spin just thinking about it
Instead of sleepwalking, I sleepwrite
Which is why I keep a pen and journal
Next to my bed in the exact same spot everynight.
Circling around for all extensive purpose an eternity
Learning from past failures, it has always been supported
By the scientific community to make adjustments
To the program to achieve the desired results.
Ice ages, Mass extinction events, global floods.
However, If by unknown circumstances
The program self-destructs
Rendering the planet
Unhospitable and uninhabitable
Fear not
I have been reassured that time is on GOD’s side
And plenty of DNA starter vials are in stock
For starting over is always an option
Because failure is just another lesson learned.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.
