Evil Shadow

It follows me where ever I go
Like a shadow on the street
While telling all of my secrets
To everyone I meet

I try to hide my face from him
While pretending he's not real
It's him that I'm ashamed of
But something, I can't conceal

Why does he have to follow me,
This demon I try to forget?
He mocks me when he shows his face
His teeth are filled with regret

He waits until my soul is weak
Walking close behind
Then devours the person I am
Starting with my mind

He knows you too, this evil one
It's a shadow, we all cast
He tells our secrets to one and all
This demon, we call our past
