Everything For Christmas But You

The snow is falling the night is calm
another Christmas has come and gone
Santa was good to me I'm doing alright
so why am I so lonely this Christmas night

Two gifts left under the Christmas tree
my gift to you and yours to me
Your in my heart but a world away
it's just not how I imaged Christmas day

Lovers old and young kissed under the mistletoe
children had fun with gifts that overflowed
Everyone so happy everyone so dear
but I'm lost and lonely in a world of holiday cheer

The lights on the house are beautiful and bright
but inside home feels like a house tonight
I sleep on your side of the bed wanting you close
for your the present I desire the most

I got everything for Christmas but you
I got everything for Christmas but you
Your duty calls but I am selfish with greed
I want my baby dreaming next to me

Everything for Christmas but you
Everything for Christmas but you
It's just for one year but it seems unfair
that I got everything for Christmas but you
