Everyone's a Warrior

Everyone's a warrior that each one has to strive; One may fight for glory or simply to survive. The brave may render efforts derived from self-esteem; The coward may suddenly take action to liberate a friend. Life is a battle by destiny or chance; Often by tour of duty or caught by circumstance. The world may hail a warrior of his supremacy and greed; And shun an awkward rescuer of a stranger who's in need. There is always an impending battle that lies beyond our sight; Sobriety and calmness are never reasons not to fight. Be it in deceit or temptations there is war when you resist; Much in a revolution if you want freedom to persist. The perils of the battle are like blackmail to the soul; One may opt postponement or make a daring call. The chaos of confusion is the devil's tricky tool; And in life's many endeavors one must be steadfast of his goal. It is prudent to seek refuge in the middle of a bout; When stricken by an illness known to many as "doubt". For how long a dying spirit shall stand for his cause? When hopelessness is hinting that the battle's already lost. Yet so many that have fallen who gallantly had fought; Even without a helmet or a cold winter's coat. That it is worthwhile to be still breathing; it is a mercy divine; And to perish in the battle is honorable and sublime. Date & Time of Writing: June 18, 2012 10:42 a.m. - 1:08 p.m.
