Preoccupied with symmetry The world considers face The quest for winsome Venus A never-ending chase Obsessed with judging people By the numbers on a scale We scrutinize our bodies To every last detail Yet what of inner beauty Is that of no import As it remains forever Its passage won’t run short For me, it is my mind and heart I will depend upon For in this world of ducklings We all can’t be the swan

I absolutely agree and I love the wisdom behind your words. We seem to live in such a superficial world these days. Inner beauty is more important than outter beauty which fades.
