Everyday Hope

You are the sun that lights my weary skies,
Yet drift away as twilight claims the day.
Though shadows whisper, weaving fragile lies,
I’ll burn, a lantern, guiding you your way.
Should time erase my name from where you dwell,
My soul will hum your song, unchanged, aflame.
For even in the silence, love will tell,
I’ll wait, a timeless echo, soft but brave.
