Everyday

Every day I wake up. It’s a dream. You
The thought of you move me in a certain way
I don’t think I can take it anymore
Seems like you are running away
This is not going to work out, nothing further
I keep telling myself this
But at the same time I don’t want to look for another
People have told me it’s a lost cause
I didn’t give up; I tried to refute my flaws
I know my past plays a role
Which I have and still trying to change has a whole
I guess this is where I will drop my pen
My prediction says nothing is going to happen
But I know it would be hard to find another just like you
