Every Promise Is Enough

A promise is such a comfort
when you've little to hang on to
as you see life hitting you hard
to carry on is so hard to do

But God has in His inerrant word
given promises without number
every one of them is given
so the believer won't fall or slumber

To live this life of faith
we need spurred on by the Lord
so His promises are His gift
to live for Him in mutual accord

So as we dwell on this provision
our hearts are filled with thankfulness
as every promise is enough
filling our being with joyfulness

God indeed is so good
providing in all we need
so His every word of promise
is sufficient without doubt indeed

Hi, Gordon, I liked your promises poem, reminding us that God is faithful and good. Some other scriptures I like are "Faith and patience inherit the promises of God. (Heb 6:12) and acts 1:4 "But wait for the promise of the Father." I have a Strong's concordance which guides me to exactly what I'm looking for. I'm sure you do, too. So glad I found people like you here who love God and share their inspirationall poems. :)
