Every Day

It's hard not to catastrophise
When the media prints words and lies.
Every day.

It causes all to be confused,
With falsehoods that delude.
Every day.

The papers print so much horror,
That I find hard to swallow.
Every day.

The truth needs detecting,
To stop the world from infecting,
More each day.

It has become a curse,
To expect the best,
Then hear the worst.
Every day

So I think the worst,
While praying for the best
Hoping that this madness,
Will find peace and rest.
Every day.

Yes, we have to become our own investigative reporters to find the truth and share it because of censorship on every station. Thank you for sharing your poem Shirley. Blessings xxoo

There is nothing quite like a walk in the forest to forget about "civilisation" and enjoy life! Aloha!
