Every Cloud

I feel so happy
I cannot explain,
for yesterday I bathed
in my own tears of pain.

Was no reason
my life is ok
but anxiety gripped
and took me away.

Took me to depths
not known
felt trapped
and so, so, alone.

That cloud was a demon
an unexpected guise,
he blinded my thoughts,
he blinded my eyes.

Thank the lord
for again I am free,
I took a look in the mirror,
and guess what? it's me.

A well expressed write I think most of us can relate to. Happy to read you are feeling better. I always blame it on hormones, but who knows? Love, Shar

I love this poem Ann. The rhyming works very well and the piece flows nicely. The message is very strong and I love the reveal at the end, realization that often wakes us up. Your comments on my Jamaican poem had me smiling. I think you have a new fan in me. Chris.

Great uplifting write, Ann. By the way, Nil by Mouth certainly wasn't rubbish, but I completely understand your please ignore. Love, Nigel
