Every Child a Smile This Christmas

I don't want gold
I don't want diamonds
Papaa please don't buy me pearls
Frankincense and myrrh are good for my soul
Sapphires, emeralds and rubies reflect so fine on my ebony skin
But this Christmas i don't want those

I want luminous smiles in the face of each and every child
For every key in my piano
Every chord in my guitar
Lord let little ones' laughter be the soundtrack
Their bliss will be my mirth
This Christmas.
And for the fallen ones
Innocence stolen too early
My friends and i will burn candles
Light bonfires all over the world y'all
Make sure folks see their babies dancing up above
Smiles dazzling brighter than the sparkling stars
Oh their bliss lets make it our mirth
This Christmas.

I could take a safari
Africa is pretty warm and colorful this time of the year
Or visit Sendai Pageant of Starlight
Now that would be a sight to behold
Perhaps even fly over see my Irish mum
Oh what else would a goddaughter want more?

But for this Christmas
I want luminous smiles in the face of each and every child
For every key in my piano
Every chord in my guitar
Lord let little ones' laughter be the soundtrack
Their bliss will be my mirth
This Christmas.
And for the fallen ones
Innocence stolen too early
My friends and i will burn candles
Light bonfires all over the world y'all
Make sure folks see their babies dancing up above
Smiles dazzling brighter than the sparkling stars
Oh their bliss lets make it our mirth
This Christmas.

All i need this Christmas;
For every child a smile!

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
