Everlasting Funk

My life i've begun to fill
With useless junk
I'll have to take my pill
To escape this everlasting funk

It's an immortal parasite
Invisible to the naked eye
It's the light
That i pass by

Theyll answer your wheres with heres
As my voice rings in your ears
So cry your fake tears
Respond with naming your worst fears

This includes me
Under the pillow hides your dreams
What is it that i'm supposed to be
But the pillow tears at the seams

All is what it reveals
It shows whats true
Its discloses what everyone feels
It shows you

Your poetry was a pleasure to read today Cody. I hope you have a wonderful day filled with love and inspiration. May we all be able to read your poetry here at PoetrySoup for years to come. Love, Carol
