Ever, No More

Always, seemed so possible, forever, but a mere formality
To part in the sweetest of sorrow at death, just to meet again
We'd walk then as one, in grateful harmony, til eternity called

The plan was one so simple; so sure and pure and certain
An easy leap of the greatest faith, the belief of heart and soul
We'd make those vows a pledge to bind us for that journey

Forever then, fell victim as oft a noble aspiration does
Always then, died too at the callous hands of memories
We walk apart now, each looking towards our own eternity
