Evening Star

Evening star
that shines at night,
your spirit I see,
my guiding light.

Touching me
in such a way,
that feels so safe
'til each new day.

My spirits soar
with faith renewed.
All doubts I have
again subdued.

And as I lay
my soul to rest,
sleep comes easy
my life is blessed.

When I awake
to a brand new day,
this simple life
takes me away.

Soul refreshed
calm and strong,
the daylight hours
don't seem so long.
