Notes About The Poem

Evening Serenade

The same haunting melody each time
ever the same when full moon climbs;
It is the sweet song of fuchsia twilight,
sung by the mystery bird each night.

An unknown bird, red and lilac tinged,
daily sings skies, from gold to orange,
Searing sunset into heart and memory,
It's the same song, never does it vary.

This is absolutely gorgeous as always dear Evelyn, how you paint imagery is so very stunning and creative, I especially love “ ever the same when full moon climbs” thats so magical! I love how you phrased that! And “ An unknown bird, red and lilac tinged, daily sings skies, from gold to orange,” i can hear and see through your word weaving! A fave! Pleasure reading you today! Sending you light always 💫 🌙

I feel I can hear the bird serenade echoing. The bird sining in the evening. Beautiful imagery.
