Evening Prayers At Sea

Listen to poem:
Evening Prayers at Sea David J Walker I remember the ship and the shore parting ways And how the waves Kept count of the days Away at sea Turning an hour Into another eternity Where he who was me shall remain smiling forever locked in the locket draped over your heart As I walk the streets of each days past Where the Village lanes lie fast Beneath green boughs I kneel and bow and pray for a better day tomorrow As the sunsets on calm seas
