Evening In Brooklyn

The former home of the Brooklyn Dodgers lives on!
Some of my loved ones still live there
Brooklyn has some things going for it
Such as the great Brooklyn Museum
and the Botanical Gardens
Coney Island is unique
And the borough has the Brooklyn Cyclones team
and the Brooklyn Nets
basketball team
Famous people have called the place home
millions of many different
backgrouds who now call the borough
home
There has been strife there
   but the future looks
     sunny
for those whose eyes, minds and hearts
experience the ambiance of the place
Brooklyn faces the futue
     with great anticipation

Enjoyed the highlights of Brooklyn, Matthew--sounds like you have a good time there--some places always buzz.

I now live in Manhattan, Vijay. It is a good place to live, too. New York City has great cultural resources - theater, poetry readings, music, of all kinds. But there are those in Manhattan who put down Brooklyn, foolishly. New York city is worth visiting if you get the chance. Peace & Love Matthew Anish

Yes, Sandra come and visit NYC by all means. There are some rotten New Yorkers and some great NYers. One stranger here saved my life! I have had a number of poems in the NY Times!! Do you ever read that? Peace & Love Matthew Anish

Do you mean cleaning up after the holiday. I took the train to my sister's place where we had a veritable feast! Peace & Love Matthew Anish
