Evening Bells Chime

Evening bells chime in the steeple Merry villagers doff their workday masks Like schoolchildren, not yet grown-up people Untethered from their joyless tasks One's a druggist; another a clerk All count the minutes 'til five Matters not where they work The hour of freedom's arrived

Heh, heh. Hadn't thought of the implications of 'workday masks' in today's world. Thanks for pointing it out. Best to you! Cheers, Gershon
