Even Walls Have Eyes
Mother can you help me?
It still hurts from things they said.
She cried darlin don’t you worry
that’s all just in your head.
Where demons come and never leave
and laughter meets with lies.
You’re never really all alone
when even walls have eyes.
I said brother can you help me?
I know now I lost my way.
Laughing as he looked at me,
he turned and walked away.
Forgotten are the memories
of me as just a kid.
My sins are for the world to see
while his remain still hid.
I said sister can you help me?
I know now I slipped off track.
Now no matter what I do
they won’t take me back.
Heavy is a cross to bear
and a hard lesson one must learn.
Forsaken on a bridge somewhere
your heart won’t let you burn.
I said Dr can you help me?
Is it true? Am I insane?
He gave me a pill to take
for an imbalance in my brain.
Where demons come and never leave
and laughter meets with lies.
You’re never really all alone
when even walls have eyes.
