EVEN STILL
I read your words like a midnight hymn,
Soft and slow, but cuttin' in.
Said you broke us to protect my soul,
But baby, heartbreak don’t make me whole.
I saw the cracks—we both did too,
But I was holdin’ on for me and you.
You left to spare me from the fall,
But silence hurts worse than nothin’ at all.
You say love was a fire you had to tame,
But I would’ve stayed through all the flame.
Now I’m here, with no one to blame—
Just whisperin' your name...
But I do... even now, even still,
I love you with a heart you couldn’t kill.
If forever had a face, it’d look like you,
If pain had a song, this would be it too.
You let go ‘cause you thought you should—
But I would’ve held you, bad or good.
You walked away to set me free…
But I do, baby—I still believe.
Even now,
Even still...
I do.
The rooms still echo with our ghost,
I lost the one I loved the most.
This ache don’t fade, it learns to stay—
Like a shadow waitin' at the break of day.
And if you wonder, if you feel it too,
Just close your eyes—I’m still with you.
In every line we left unsaid...
In every tear we both have bled...
I do... even now, even still,
I love you with a heart you couldn’t kill.
If forever had a face, it’d look like you,
If pain had a song, this would be it too.
You let go ‘cause you thought you should—
But I would’ve held you, bad or good.
You walked away to set me free…
But I do, baby—I still believe.
Even now,
Even still...
I do.
If love was meant to tear us through…
Then break me once more—
But let it be you.
I do.
Even now.
Even still.
