Even Now First Light Dawns

Flood tide on flood tide; a night
Of storms awash in.
Dear, as brief a time will run
This pillowed grieving.

Mood of a morning after?
Look of a land then?
Sweetest chirped, smile-budding cracked
Quickly forgetten!
