Even Fairies Must Rest
In a hollow of a tree
under branches resting she
a moss filled cozy place
where wishes can be traced
behind her tiny eyes
she dreams of lullabies
her lovely wings are still
the sun removes her chill
the butterflies watch over
as they fly above the clover
making sure while she is sleeping
that her safety's in good keeping
upon her shoulders it does fall
a dainty little spiders shawl
woven with such love and care
of natures gifts none can compare
soon she will awake and flee
back into natures harmony
for now she dreams her fairy tales
all gold and glitter behind her trails...
Dedicated to my Grand-daughter Rhiannon
