Notes About The Poem

Eve

Adam was content to stay
where flowers bloomed every day.
And for an infinite span,
God sated the soul of Man.

Yet Man lacked self-awareness,
and God saw that unfairness.
A woman's daring was sought
to give Man free will of thought.

So Eve gave birth to reason;
and thought came into season.
Though Man found sin in her deed,
thanks to Eve, His soul was freed.
