Eulogy For Tom Hamby
EULOGY FOR TOM HAMBY
Another saint has gone so fast to heaven’s happy shore,
And we are certain that one day we will see him once more.
Though loss is heavy now to bear for we know him we’ll miss,
His pain and suffering now is o’er in that fair land of bliss.
There quietly he slipped away and as we all looked on,
The body lay so peacefully, and we knew where he had gone.
No more to play his instruments, no more to work on cars,
No more to bear the cancer’s pain, no more to bear the scars.
A faithful wife he leaves behind and an evangelist son,
And grandchildren who knew him well as a dedicated one.
Yes, Tom Hamby was quite a man we can look to today
Who trusted in the Lord above and tried to walk His way.
I’ll miss you, Tom, the friendship dear, the brief talks that we shared,
But we will make up for it all when we’re in heaven there!
The fellowship will be so great with no more pain or strife,
Enjoying God’s great promise there of everlasting life.
I hope you, friend, will be there, too, with Tom and Betty there,
And Eddy, Cindy, and the rest who will this great place share!
