Eulogy

As life stops giving,
And starts taking away,
I measure the years,
By the shortness of days...
In a blink of an eye,
We are frozen in time,
Though our body may pass,
We will live in the mind...
And the last conversation,
Or the last thing thats said,
Becomes a voice that echos,
In the back of your head...
So I fill each page,
With those moments instead,
While my tears soak rage,
Off the page as I read...
And when I pass,
You will feel the same breeze,
To spread my ash,
So I talk thru the trees...
