Eternity

Eternity

Carry me on your shoulders.
I'm sorry; I know you're getting older.
Too much time has passed.
I dearly do hope this time that strength will last.

Save me still. Save me yet.
Save me at a will.
Save me without a regret.

I don't know how long this will be.
I can't see eternity.
My strength is nearly gone.
This time I don't want to carry on.

Save me still. Save me yet.
Save me at a will.
Save me without a regret.

This must be a surprise from the look in your eyes.
Time is meant to heal any wound.
Isn't that also where love is learned when it has bloomed?

I don't deserve it, but I pray my life, you'll preserve it.

Save me still. Save me yet.
Save me at your will.
Save me without any regrets.

I love your lyrical musical rhythm. The first time I heard it... I thought it was for the contest to make a poem about PoetrySoup into a song.

Lyrics are my thing all the way. They always have been. I could write them forever and never get tired of it. There's something about a song that just moves you and reaches you entirely. No, this was the first poem I posted on here a while ago. I would have entered it but it wouldn't have fit in with the contest. Thank you for all your encouragement and wonderful words. They mean a lot!!

Ps., Rereading Your Beautiful Princesses Poem, Sweet Beautiful Girl! Humanly Speaking, I Am Somewhat Certain That 'This Flesh,' Most Definitely Was Not Meant To Be Preserved: How Could Something So Extremely Tainted Ever Expect, Such ? Jeremy, you have a really good point there. :) I love the way you write. You evoke emotions that weren't there before. No, this flesh wasn't meant to be reserved, but this soul was.
