Eternally Entwined

You were brought into this world today; I must confess I was impressed
As you wrapped your tiny, delicate fingers around my hand I felt your love
Although I felt this love before, it was something brand new
Do you know why? Because no one can replace your presence from my heart

Little one, know this, there is nothing in this world as special as you
You will grow up to be big and strong, but never forget you will always be mine
Sometimes you won’t feel like you’ll need me anymore, but I will remain in your soul
It’s just a simple fact that I will forever be a part of you, and you a part of me
