Eternal Journey

Why does this cool breeze ravage my spirit?
Why does this balmy moon set my soul on fire?
Why does sweet fragrance set me on a path dire?
Why does my yearning heart only woe inherit? 

Why does hither and yonder wander my soul?
How many fond dreams must I yet squander?
For how long must this wayfarer astray wander?
Oh, why is my deliverance beyond my control?
