Estranged Dreams

Dreams do not pursue me anymore
They stopped visiting the day I called
Them worthless
They melted away
In shock
With hurt welling up
In their eyes
They never again
And I refuse to remember
Even those that I held dear
Dreams do not pursue me anymore
As I do not pursue them
They made it clear
They were to be seen and not touched
And what good is that to me?
