Essence

ESSENCE

The essence of your love is etched upon my soul
the time we spend together makes my life seem whole

The purity of love defined is God & Goddess sent
undying love and modesty we wonder where they went

Sometimes I sit and think of you upon the highest hill
where the breeze blows by so sweetly as I sit amongst the dill

I think of eating ice cream and giggling about silly things
like shopping on Jewelry TV and buying way to many rings

My time with you is pleasant when there's time to sit and talk
or go out to a movie or take a good long walk

My love we'll be together as we age so gracefully
they'll be no room for harsh words or to even sit and sully

Like daffodils in spring time our love it has grown wings
it grows stronger everyday as a blue bird sits and sings

Of love and life and happiness these are the finer things.
