Especially Proud of Me

Why should it matter,
What others would say.
I am living my life,
The best as I can.
For once I wish someone would be,
Especially proud of me.
I try to smile in every stormy weather,
I face each and every day,
With so much strife,
Even with all of the hard times Ihad never ran.
So why can't someone be,
Especially proud of me.
If they could see in my soul,
Then they would see,
How hard I had tried,
To up hold my tears.
I need someone to be,
Especially proud of me.
They would know,
Where my heart wants to be.
If they could see how my eyes had cried,
With happiness and fears.
For once I want someone to be,
Especially proud of me!
