Escaping Into the Forest

I will allow my trail to blaze behind.

And leave behind the sorrow that binds.

I must not be hidden alive.

By a past that allowed guilt to thrive.

As the influence of the void threatens.

I must prioritize the passion that beckons.

Another night in the forest.

Is better than a prison where I cannot rest.
