Escape From Purple

Purple facial bruises portrayed how her dreams died, and purple blurs mocked her heart that numbly cried. Mute were the many broken layers she kept concealed. Frozen fears could melt her down if allowed revealed. Nowhere was anyone in whom she could safely confide. Her nightmare shared could snare another terror-tied. Tonight, she’d run with strangers who individually knew fragments of her whole escape from purple’s purview. ... CayCay January 26, 2019

Caycay, you took purple to a whole other level with this deep look at abuse. Very well done, sweetie. Sorry it took me so long to see it. I saw your name here today and thought, gosh, I never did see her purple poem yet!

Wow CayCay! This is excellent! It shares the fears and isolation of battered women in desperate need. I hope this is a big winner! It blows mine out of the water. I haven't posted mine yet. Into my Faves with this superb entry! xxoo

Gosh caycay great minds think alike! I wanted to do a poem so different to the other one I did for the last contest, so many times abusive relationships are concealed it is Heart breaking to know what really goes on behind closed doors:-( hugs Jan xx
