Ere the Sun Peeps
The night sky is darkest before dawn
Ere the sun peeps over the horizon,
Before I have stretched or had a yawn
The night sky is darkest before dawn.
While the nightshades are still drawn,
And the world is waiting for the risin’
The night sky is darkest before dawn,
Ere the sun peeps over the horizon.
