Epiphany

It wasn’t so very long ago,
And it wasn’t too far away.
When there came an epiphany to me,
Just as clear as the light of day.

I was driving home from church one night,
And the fog was as thick as mud.
The Holy Spirit came into my car,
And filled it up like a flood.

The fog was thick and I couldn’t see,
The road ahead at all.
“Just as thick is this fog, so am I with you.”
I heard the Heavenly Father call.

The tears started flowing like a river,
I had heard what the Good Sheppard was saying.
I was driving by faith, and not by sight,
And for the Lord’s help, I was praying.

While coming back from church that night,
Through my spiritual eyes I did see.
The love of God, so shed abroad,
Through that epiphany.
