Epiphanies
I felt for him such sympathy
Because too late he had the epiphany
Of realizing just what a good thing he had
After she left him for being treated so bad
Sometimes the light comes on too late
The epiphany only magnifies our mistake
The question is, “Was the lesson learned”
Or, once again will we have to get burned
But we can learn from one another’s flaws
Was my own epiphany as I recall
And that girl that left him with a shattered life
Is now the angel that I call my lovely wife
