Enthused
to light a fire
and rest by its warm glow.
You don’t sit down - no, not a lot.
The stove demands and never tires
and back and forth I go ~
suddenly not
so enthused.

This one is an Octain, 8 lines of 2/4/6/8/8/6/4/3 syllables
with a rhyme pattern of abcdbcda
with the first and last word the same
And I do love my wood stove, but it does go through the logs!
