Pyramids stand reaching towards the blue sky Eon after eon passes by But one day even they will die We can’t seem to defeat time no matter how hard we try Time is like the wind between poplar branches As it shifts its visage through the ages They say it is the fire in which soul blazes Yet the accumulative power of its higher perspectives amazes What is written on the one’s not named in any place birthstone If self connected destiny is abstract what is beyond that milestone Even if we knew that the meaning of life would still be to each own And the answer to it with wind of time among poplar boughs blown
