Enigma

Pyramids stand reaching towards the blue sky
Eon after eon passes by
But one day even they will die
We can’t seem to defeat time no matter how hard we try

Time is like the wind between poplar branches
As it shifts its visage through the ages
They say it is the fire in which soul blazes
Yet the accumulative power of its higher perspectives amazes

What is written on the one’s not named in any place birthstone
If self connected destiny is abstract what is beyond that milestone
Even if we knew that the meaning of life would still be to each own
And the answer to it with wind of time among poplar boughs blown
